Navigating with Confidence: RightHear at the Lighthouse
The Lighthouse for the Blind of the Palm Beaches is proud to offer RightHear, an innovative audio wayfinding system that empowers people who are blind or visually impaired to navigate our facility independently.
Using the free RightHear app on your smartphone, you can receive audio descriptions of your surroundings as you move through our building — guiding you from one location to the next at your own pace. Markers are placed at waist height throughout our facility, making them easy to locate simply by holding your phone naturally as you walk.
We are one of only two locations in Florida currently using RightHear, and we are excited to be at the forefront of accessible navigation technology. As public spaces, community centers, and agencies work toward greater accessibility compliance, wayfinding systems like RightHear are becoming an essential part of truly inclusive environments.
